About

funny-laugh-face

The movie industry is one of the highest grossing industries in the world. It is meant for entertaining the masses. It produces thousands of movies a year, all across the world, which are hungrily gobbled up by its millions of patrons. To most, ‘movie’ is a synonym of ‘entertainment’. The masses go to the movie theatres to lose themselves in a frenzy of sound and light, forgetting all their worries for a couple of hours, and then coming out, none the wiser…

But that is not the way of a connoisseur…

A connoisseur does not drink down the wine in one gulp… He first smells it, then sips it, takes in a small amount and slowly swirls it around soaking in its flavor, then slowly gulps it down, and revels in the aftertaste. He then sets it down, lets it breathe, and then drinks again.

I consider myself, a connoisseur…

I do not watch a movie, just for the sake of watching it and then forget all about it. Movies are not just a source of entertainment for me.

I watch a movie to enjoy it, to revel in it, to understand it’s subtleties… to melt and merge with the characters till the movie is no longer a movie, no longer someone else’s slice of life, but mine… it becomes a part of me… and my experiences… and my memories…

This site, is simply a magical menagerie of all those wonderful people who have made me laugh and cry and gasp in awe, who have taken me on a roller coaster ride through the highs and lows of their lives, who have made me fall in love over and over again…

This site is dedicated to all those movies which have helped me to redefine and rediscover my life…

Come, let’s watch them…
